Altered Canvas
Happy Crafting Day! If you are like me...every day is a crafting day...and that makes me happy!
Today I wanted to share with you my Altered Canvas. I love mixing all kinds of techniques together. Add in a picture of your best friends for a perfect addition to my craft room.
Today I will show you two ways to complete this project.
Supplies:
49 and Market Serenity Subtleties 12x12
49 and Market Serenity Laser Cuts
49 and Market Serenity Ephemera Bits
10x10 Canvas
Mod Podge Matte
Perfect Paints Azure
Perfect Paints Clear XSmall Glass Bead Gel
Small Palette knife
Glue Dots Mini
Misc Wood Dragonfly
Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
Instructions:
Trim the 12x12 cardstock down to fit the size of your canvas. Once cut I used the blade of the scissors to rough up the edges of the paper.
Ink the edges with the Tuxedo Black ink
Using the palette knife spread the Perfect Paints Stucco randomly over the paper.
Once dry I then added the Perfect Paints Azure and Glass beads over the stucco. I tried to leave areas of the stucco visible just for a different look.
Trim your picture to the desired size and adhere to the page
Begin layering your elements. I used laser cut flowers and butterflies from the 49 and Market Serenity Laser cut pack. Best Every and journal strips from the Ephemera Bits pack.
Add any other elements you might like and then adhere the page to the canvas
The canvas can be left just as it is but if you would like to step it up then add a frame. We cut 2" strips of pine and stained them with Dark Walnut wood stain. Nail to the canvas and trim up the edges as needed.
