Altered Tag using Perfect Paints!
Back in the Scrapbooking days, I loved all my crafting books. We would have fun things like monthly challenges or contests. Sometimes I needed those challenges to spark some inspiration.
I love the Design Team here and how they challenge me to branch out and try different things. The other day I was tossed out a challenge to use several Perfect Paints Shimmering Acrylics, some Stucco and use a tag! Challenge accepted!
Hope you love making this as much as I did!
Supplies:
Perfect Paints Shimmering Matte Acrylics: Rainstorm, Halo, Vintage Patina and Cajun Orange
Craft Cardstock
Close to my Heart Wooden Shapes
Misc stamps
49 & Market Serenity Ephemera Die Cut Pieces
49 & Market Tranquility Laser Cut Wildflowers
Perfect Paints Shimmering Acrylic Paints in Rainstorm, Halo, Vintage Patina and Cajun Pumpkin
Instructions:
I started by taking some thick cardstock and cutting out the tag in the desired size.
Using the White Stucco I spread it all over the tag randomly.
While it is still wet, take your stamps and just stamp randomly along the tag and set aside to dry. I really love how this stucco and the stamps give it a texture.
Now I used the Perfect Paints Shimmering Acrylics in Vintage Patina and Rainstorm - blending softly across the tag. I LOVE the gold that shines through the Patina. Because the cardstock is damp from the stucco and paints it may curl so once it is dry and I am not worried about messing up the stucco....I laid a heavy book on it to finish drying.
Now it is time to add embellishments. I used the 49 & Market Die Cut Pieces and wildflowers and randomly adhered it all down onto the tag.
Paint the wooden flowers with Shimmering Cajun Pumpkin and adhere to the tag.
Add a quote and some twine.
I loved this challenge and I loved this tag! I plan on making several more of these to share with you in the future months!
Have a great week....
