"Become One With Nature" Journal Page with Perfect Paints

Hey guys! Michelle here, and I'm excited to share my latest mixed media journal page with you. I've been diving deep into my art supplies lately, and this page is a perfect example of how I love to combine different textures and techniques to create something unique. Today, we'll be using a few of my absolute favorite art mediums, Perfect Paints! Get ready to explore color, texture, and a whole lot of creative fun as we walk through the process together. Let's get started!

Open scrapbook with nature collage, including flowers, mushrooms, and a butterfly. Text reads "become one with nature." Jars nearby on wood.

Hand applying Marble Plaster with a palette knife on burlap. Open jar of gesso nearby, cutting mat beneath. Creative, focused setting.
Adding Marble Plaster to my Journal Page

For this one I started by applying the marble plaster stucco to a burlap page in my journal to form a perfect canvas for my page. *Set it aside and allow it to dry

Hand holds a jar of Perfect Paints clear texture gel above a burlap-covered board. Background shows a palette knife and grid surface.
Adding Clear Texture Gel to my journal page

Next I applied a thin coat of Perfect Clear Texture Gel to give it a little gloss and make it slightly tacky for the next step.

Gold leaf applied on a textured burlap surface with adhesive, set in a craft workspace. Light reflects off metallic patches, creating an artistic mood.
While the Clear Texture Gel was still tacky press in some gold leaf pieces and blend

Textured surface with white threads and scattered gold leaf on a woven mat. A tool is visible on a grid-patterned background, suggesting artistry.
Adding gold leaves to cheesecloth over the clear texture gel

I also added in some scraps of cheese cloth and more gold leaf flakes

A scrapbook with vintage photos, a butterfly, mushrooms, and red leaves. A hand holds a brush near gold leaf accents. Jar labeled "Perfect Paints."
Adding some beehive to pop my embellishments

Once everything was all dried, apply various die cuts layered with foam dots for dimension and interest. For additional interest and shine I highlighted some of the diecuts with Beehive Shimmering Matte Acrylic Paint.

Craft paper collage with flowers, a butterfly, and a bee on a burlap background. Gold leaf accents add shimmer. Green foliage in the backdrop.
