Botanical Card Set with Perfect Paints!

Hello, crafty friends! It’s Michelle here again, and I couldn’t be more excited to wrap up my fun series using stunning background papers crafted using the shimmering matte acrylics gelli plate technique that I introduced in a previous blog post.

Whether you're preparing for a special occasion, looking to create a meaningful gesture, or simply in need of a quick card solution, having a collection of pre-made backgrounds at your fingertips makes it easier than ever to express your creativity on a whim.

For these cards I previously used my Perfect Paints Shimmering Matte Acrylics in Beehive, Bright Gold, Washed Teal & Frosted Rose as well as the Powerful Bees Chipboard and the Hole Punch Stencil to create my backgrounds.

But now that those are created (see my previous post for those details) we can move on to using those backgrounds as layers to build upon and begin the fun part of picking embelishments for my cards.

Lets get started!
Lets get started!

I cut and/or tore and inked all my papers and laid them out then began laying out 49 & Market and Tim Holtz die cuts to see how I wanted to configure each card before I began gluing any elements down.

When I was fairly happy with my layout I began gluing down my elements and stapling a few pieces down for extra security.

I then added some Clear X-small Glass Bead Gel with my pallet knife for both texture and to add some adheasive for my gold leaf flakes that I would be adding.

I even pressed in one of the Powerful Bee Chipboard pieces into the wet glass bead gel.
