"Bring Your Dreams to Light with DIY Painted Nightlight!"

Hi all!! Hope your week has been going great so far!

I decided this week to venture out into a new home decor item that is so quick and simple you will wonder why you haven't tried this already! Follow along as I bring your dreams to light with a simple DIY Painted nightlight!

For this project you will need the following:

  • Perfect Paints Shimmering Acrylic in Halo and Vintage Patina

  • Laser cut image

  • Night light base

  • White craft paint

  • Black craft paint

  • Green craft paint

I used my personal laser cutter to make this project but there are some local craft stores or libraries that have public laser machines for use.

Let's get started on our painted nightlight
Let's get started on our painted nightlight

Take the wood image and paint the base white, wreath green and the roof trim black

Add Shimmering Acrylic in halo over the white paint for that shimmering effect

Attach the roof to the house base

Paint the wreath in Shimmering Acrylic in Vintage Patina for some added shading

Now attach the wreath to the house

Remove the cover to the nightlight and glue the nightlight attachment to the house. Remove the light bulb and slip the attachment over the light hole. Once you have it aligned just screw the light back in.

That is it!! So simple and easy but yet the perfect custom nightlight!!
