Creating a Stunning Winter Wonderland Snowman with SMA Acrylics and Polishing Plaster!
Hi all!
Can you believe it is December already? I am in full crafting mode as I knock out some decorations and gifts. First on the lids is this cute Snowy, Winter Snowman using Perfect Paints Polishing Plaster and Shimmering Acrylics.
Supplies:
1x4 cut at 8" long
Scrap trim cut at 7"
Perfect Paints Polishing Plaster in Icicle
Perfect Paints Shimmering Matte Acrylics in Halo and Cajun Pumpkin
Spray paint black
Waverly Snow White acrylic paint
Fan Brush
Misc Greenery and bead
Clothes Pin
To start off with I spray painted the wood block and trim in black. Once that was dry I painted the snowman in white. Set aside and let it dry.
Next I took apart a clothes pin and painted it orange with a Tooli Art pen and then painted over the top with Perfect Paints Shimmering Acrylic in Cajun Pumpkin. Look at all that Orange...isn't it beautiful!
Next up, and once all the paint has dried, I took my sander and roughed up the snowman and then used a hand held sanding block to sand the edges of the clothes pin. I love how rustic it makes the snowman look with the black peeping through. Then I used a fan brush to add some Perfect Paints Shimmering Acrylic in Halo randomly on the snowman.
The final steps....draw the face, glue down the nose and I added some Perfect Paints Polishing plaster in Icicle to the hat so that it looked like snow. Don't tell my hubby but I snipped a piece of greenery off of our Christmas decorations and hot glued that to the hat. Then finally adding a bead.
Now you have a perfect little snowman that will look cute anywhere you put him!
Happy Holidays - Becky!
