It was unique, charming, and perfectly suited to my collection. However, the finish wasn't quite right. The colors felt a bit haphazard and lacked the polished look I desired. Undeterred, I decided to take matters into my own hands and transform this diamond in the rough using Perfect Paints Shimmering Matte Acrylics. Initially, I painted the entire piece #1027 Spiced Saffron
Then I played with the layers and areas using #1004 Spring Green and #1008 Bright Gold, adding outlines and highlights with #1032 Bohemian Blue and #1003 Rainstorm.
Lastly, I came back with the #1027 Spiced Saffron to highlight the scales on the shell.
The balanced pattern and colors meld with my other sea turtle artwork, but the style of the shape still holds the Myan vibe. I love how it turned out! The photos do little justice to the brilliance of the Perfect Paints Shimmering Matte Acrylics.
