Hello Everyone!

We all love traveling, and today, I’m excited to share the creative process behind the cover of my travel album. The place I visited is a beautiful town, adorned with lush hills and cascading waterfalls. To capture its essence, I chose a palette of greens, yellows, and blues. I wanted to ensure that my album cover would reflect the vibrant and serene vibe of this enchanting location.

I started by selecting a chipboard from Scrapaholics' “Fun in the Sun” collection for the album cover. To bring it to life, I painted it with a mix of Perfect Paints peacock blue and halo acrylics. To add more texture, I applied glided azure polishing plaster over the painted chipboard. One of the highlights of my kit was a glue applicator. Inspired by Cheryl’s brilliant idea, I used it to write with white acrylics over the chipboard, creating a beautiful calligraphy effect. This made the cover even more special.

Next, I picked up some flower and vine chipboards. I painted them with bright gold acrylics to make them pop against the background.

Since the town had numerous moss-covered stone walls, I wanted to replicate that texture on my album cover. I used shimmering sage polishing plaster to stencil a wall pattern, adding an earthy, authentic touch to the design.

With all my embellishments ready, I began layering them on the cover. I alternated the three vivid colors – green, yellow, and blue – to ensure each element stood out. Additionally, I incorporated ephemera and laser-cut elements from 49&Market “Nature Study” collection, which perfectly complemented the theme.

Finally, the cover of my album is complete, and it vividly captures the spirit of the town I visited. Every time I look at it, I feel an overwhelming urge to revisit that magical place. Thank you so much for joining me on this creative journey. I hope it inspires you to create your own travel album that reflects the beauty and essence of the places you’ve explored.
