How to Create a Festive Santa’s Balcony Decor with Perfect Paints: A Step-by-Step Guide
Hello Everyone !
This Christmas, I decided it was time to step up my holiday decor game. I mean, if Santa’s delivering gifts to everyone, shouldn’t he at least get a nice balcony to hang out on? He’s been stuck with chimneys for centuries—let’s give the guy some options. So, I made a DIY Santa’s Balcony decor piece.
I started with a round MDF base. I got a little crafty with stencils. First, I used some foliage stencils to create a leafy background. Then, I added some bricks with Perfect Paints Icicle Polishing Plaster.
I painted the whole thing with Red Wagon Shimmering Matte Acrylics. It’s the perfect shade of red—rich and vibrant.
I thought this could use a little shimmer. I used Aged Copper Shimmering Matte Acrylics on the background, just enough to make it shine. Subtle, but festive.
I painted the balcony railings with the same Aged Copper Shimmering Matte Acrylics (gotta keep things coordinated). Then, I added a few touches of Honey Gold Shimmering Matte Acrylics because, hey, it’s the holidays. If you’re not adding a little gold to everything, are you even trying?
Finally, I threw in some ephemera pieces—tiny gifts, little Santa details. Honestly, I just stuck stuff on there until it felt like Christmas. Sometimes that’s the secret to holiday decor.
Products I Used:
Red Wagon Shimmering Matte Acrylics (for that perfect Christmas red)
Aged Copper Shimmering Matte Acrylics (for a little sparkle)
My room now looks like a cozy little spot where Santa can hang out, sip some cocoa, and take a break from the whole “flying around the world in one night” thing.
Happy crafting, and may your holiday season be as awesome as this well-decorated balcony! 🎄
Lots of Love,
Eva
