Whether you’re looking to beautify your home's exterior or simply want to craft something unique, this project is adaptable to any size and style you desire. So roll up your sleeves and let’s dive into the world of DIY creativity!
Supplies:
Perfect Paints Shimmering Acrylics:
Halo
Rainstorm
Rain Slicker
Cajun Pumpkin
Wood of your choice
Stain (I used Dark Walnut)
Vinyl letters
Black, white and yellow acrylic craft paint
For starters we stained 4 foot piece of wood with Dark Walnut. Let this dry really good overnight so that your vinyl will stick. Once dry, cut out your letters and adhere into place.
Now the fun begins. I poured some black acrylic paint and Rainstorm Shimmering acrylic onto a plate. Then, using a sponge roller, I mixed the paint and started rolling the entire board.
Let this dry really good and then start adding your flowers. I used white acrylic paint for the flowers. A touch of black for the shadows and then added some Shimmering Acrylic in Halo for an added touch. The same was done for the centers but in yellow and Rain Slicker paint.
Once the flowers are good and dry you can use a pick to remove the vinyl letters.
I then sealed the board with Rustoleum Clear Spray.
The way this shimmers in the sun is just so gorgeous!
I loved it so much that I made another one using Cajun Pumpkin and black. Next on my list is to make one with some reds :)
I hope you will give this project a try and make sure to share it with us!
XOXO
Becky
