Step 3: Create the Patina Effect Once the plaster is dry, mist the surface with water using the spray bottle. This will reactivate the plaster.

Step 4: Allow to Dry and Add the Shimmering Matte Acrylic Paints. Let the plaster dry completely. Then add the three acrylic paints one at a time randomly, spray with a water bottle, or gently wipe with a wet napkin to saturate the color. If you want to add more dimension to your patina finish, you can lightly sand certain areas to distress the surface, revealing the metal underneath.

Step 5: Seal the Finish Once you're satisfied with the patina effect, seal the surface with Perfect Paints Perfect Gloss Medium & Varnish. This will protect the finish and give it a subtle sheen for indoor decor use.

Step 6: Display Your Artwork Once the sealer is dry, your metal heart with a stunning patina finish is ready to be displayed! You can hang it on a wall, place it on a shelf, or incorporate it into other art projects as desired.

This metal heart is 24 inches tall, so its pretty substantial on the wall. It shows off the beautiful patina.

Experiment with different colors and techniques to achieve the perfect patina effect for your metal heart. Enjoy the creative process!
