How to Use Shimmering Matte Acrylics to Create Abstract Art

Good morning, friends! I was bored one night and just wanted to paint... so I grabbed a blank 6x6 mixed media board, a few Shimmering Matte Acylics and a paint brush to see what I could do. I had no plans, I lieterally just starting painting. It was very peaceful and fun! Painting calms me... What about you?

To begin, I painted the 6x6 mixed media board using the Bohemian Blue Shimmering Matte Acrylics. Next, I grabbed the Peacock Blue Shimmering Matte Acrylics and added the lines using a thick paint brush. I did not wait for the first layer to dry. After that, I created the thin lines using the Halo Shimmering Matte Acrylics. LOVE the way this is coming together.

Let's begin by covering the mixed media board using the Bohemian Blue Shimmering Acrylics and then adding lines using the Peacock and Halo Shimmering Acrylics

After I finished creating the lines on the mixed media board, I grabbed some spray ink and sprayed dark blue ink down the board, letting the ink drip down the board. I let it dry a bit before using a stencil and black ink to create little flowers to the left-side of the mixed media board. I created the butterfly using metal dies and painted it with the Bohemian Blue Shimmering Matte Acrylics.

I enjoyed making this piece and I love all the blues together with the touch of silver. It's just so pretty. What do you think?
