Hues of Blue Frame with Perfect Paints

Hello everyone!! Jenn here and I am super excited to share another altered project with you! This time I decided to alter a small frame using a beautiful array of Shimmering Matte Acrylic Paints in blue hues with just a touch of gold. Join me as I create this fun little piece of art!
Supplies:
Additional Supplies Used:
Chipboard elements
Clay Elements
Gold Wax
White Acrylic Paint
Stamps
Stencil
Fussy Cut Florals
Prima Quote
Clear and White gesso
Ground Espresso Distress Ink
Instructions:
Start by painting frame in white gesso. Use a wet brush dipped in diluted brown ink to brush over the entire frame. This will give a antiqued look. Add paper background cut to size. Coat the paper with clear gesso to create a seal that is ready for painting.

Next use a decorative stencil to add texture with White Crackle Paste. For mine I used a heat tool to accelerate the cracking process and dry faster. I also smeared some around the edges with a palette knife.

To add color, first spritz a light amount of water to the frame. Alternate between colors while rotating the frame to allow movement of the paint and water. This will allow paint to mix and create interest.

Add a bit of stamping in black here and there for texture.
Next Paint all chipboard and clay elements. The leaves here are painted with Periwinkle Blue and brushed with gold wax and white acrylic paint. The Flower shown was painted with a mix of blues and then brushed in gold wax. The clock pieces were embossed previously and brushed in the Honey Gold Shimmering Matte Acrylic Paint.

Assemble all of the pieces on the frame to create the focal. Add some white and gold splatters as a finishing touch. Be sure to cover the quote/image while splattering.

Thanks so much for visiting and viewing my project using Perfect Paints! I hope I have inspired you to grab some of these amazing products and create something beautiful! I will be creating more to share with you soon!
