I Love Summer Scrapbook Layout with Perfect Paints!
Hello crafty friends, Jody here! As we transition from warm sunny days to crisp autumn air, I find myself holding onto summer just a little bit longer with a vibrant beach-themed layout. Capturing the essence of those lazy beach days is not just about the memories; it’s an opportunity to experiment with my beloved paper cutting machine and Perfect Paints!
Join me as I take you on a creative journey through my latest mixed media adventure, where I’ve embraced a spectrum of blue hues using a variety of Perfect Paints products. From the shimmering creamy tones of Polishing Plaster in Glided Azure to the refreshing vibrance of Jack Frost, Icicle, and Mexican Turquoise, I’ve gathered an ocean of creativity at my fingertips. Adding in Shimmering Matte Acrylics like Barely There, Beach Sand, Peacock Blue, and Washed Teal, I added Riverstone for added texture to the background. I was inspired to bring the shoreline to life on my canvas. With a simple yet effective technique of painting delightful 1/2" strips of color and layering them behind my cut file, I’ll show you how easy it is to turn your beach memories into stunning works of art.
Let’s dive into the details!
The effect is absolutely gorgeous. You can see all the colors and textures coming through the cut file. I paired it with the beautiful Kaleidoscope collection from 49 and Market. I added a few layers behind my photo and found three heart embellishments that fit perfectly. I added a small cluster of tickets and a label to pull it all together.
My goal this year is to add the date to all my layouts (if known) so I added it and a few splatters of the Shimmering Matte Acrylic in Washed Teal.
I created a Youtube video below to the share my project.
Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope I have inspired you to use paint on your next project.
Jody
