Hi all!

Recently my grandchildren came over and they asked to craft with Nana. So, of course I can't say no. We decided to make some painted rocks for our newly freshened up flower bed. While we were painted I thought I would give some Perfect Paints a test drive on rocks! I promise you there is no base that these paints cannot be used on. I have literally tried everything!

To start off with I used a knife and my fingers to sculpt my flower onto the rock. At first it doesn't appear it will stick but trust the process

Once I have it layered like I want...then I just smooth up the edges a bit and let it sit to dry overnight. The wet look is normal and will dry.

The next day all I really needed to do was to paint the rock. I started by using various paint pens to add dots around the flower. Get creative with this...use different colors and sizes of dots.

Now to paint - I started by using the Polishing Plaster, with a paint brush, and just dab it on in between the petals. I am just going for a slight shimmery look. Then I used the Shimmering Matte Acrylic Rainstorm more towards the center for some shadows. And finished off with Rain Slicker for the center.

The possibilities are endless and the stucco adds a 3D effect to the rock. I sealed mine with Rustoleum Clear sealer so that they will last longer.
