Helloooo Perfect Paint Fans, Lynne Forsythe here. I began this creative journey by choosing the flower design I wanted to create. Once I had figured that out, I began by cutting the petals from a piece of cotton fabric. Next, I painted each petal with Powertex Universal Medium. After the petals had dried for a day or so, I trimmed the petals and picked out the Perfect Paints ~ Shimmering Matte Acrylic Paints I wanted for my flower. My choices, Grape and Peony Pink, how PRETTY!!

Lets get started!
Lets get started!

I got under way, painting each petal with Peony Pink SMA on both the front and the backside.

I then applied a layer of Grape to the ends (center) of the petal.

While the paints were still wet, I blended the colors together by wiping off the excess paint from my paint brush, and dry brushed the two colors together. They blended just BEAUTIFULLY!!

I repeated that the above technique on each petal.

When I completed that task, I cut a piece of cardboard into a circle to construct a base to adhere the petals too.

Using a round brush, I applied a layer of Powertex Universal Medium to the cardboard circle and then placed each petal into the medium.

For the center of my flower, I found an old button and painted it with Rain Slicker SMA.

When the first coat had dried, I applied a second, much thicker layer, then sprinkled micro beads over the SMA paint and gently pressed them into the paint.

Lastly, I placed a dollop of Universal Medium into the center of my flower.
