Purple Dreams Mixed Media Card
Hello Everyone,
Today’s inspiration is to celebrate unintended creativity. I started out working on something for the Valentines’ season but accidentally added Sangria matte acrylics over my card. But as they say, in crafting there are no mistakes, only happy accidents. Let's turn today’s oops moment into a moments of awe.
The creative process began with the card itself. Puddles of water became the playground for hues –
Red Wagon and Aged Copper shimmering matte acrylics sprinkled generously, setting the stage for a dynamic color palette.
Enter the world of texture with Whipped Caramel Polishing Plaster applied through the
6x6 boxwood stencil. This step added an earthy tone that complements the warmth of purple and orange.
To bring the Mixed Media card to life, Sangria shimmering matte acrylics and Icicle polishing plaster created grungy highlights on the sides. Mixing the duo created a thick paste leaving behind a rich texture on the card.
Cajun Pumpkin shimming matte acrylic was splattered across the canvas. These vibrant splatters stood out and infused an energetic vibe to the card.
Sunflowers, cotton flowers, and a delightful ladybug were carefully layered onto the card complementing the purple and orange backdrop.
The combination of warm hues, intricate textures, and cheerful elements invites a sense of comfort and joy. This card can be gifted to a loved one as a piece of cozy creativity to brighten their day or kept as a personal reminder to embrace the warmth, live your dream.
