Shimmering Acrylic Paints on wood
Hope everyone is having a fantastic April! I've enjoyed getting some Spring crafting done.
Today I want to show you how fabulous the Perfect Paints Shimmering Acrylic is when used directly on wood. This project will consist of the Shimmering Acrylic paint on paint and direct on wood. I will also be using a wood project that was created on my laser.
Supplies Needed:
Perfect Paints Vintage Patina Shimmering Acrylic
Perfect Paints Halo Shimmering Acrylic
Misc Acrylic Paints
White Paint Pen
Glue
Laser wood cuts
To start I cut out my laser file and prepped the wood.
The whole project is hand painted but I will show you just a few areas and techniques. The first will be painting the leaves. I used a standard acrylic paint for the leaves and then added the Shimmering Vintage Patina as a highlight.

Now I painted the Shimmering Acrylic straight onto the wood. You can tell that is has a totally different look than when directly on paint.
Now we will do the same thing with the flowers directly on the wood.
Once I had the flowers painted I actually took regular white acrylic and used it as shadows over the top of the shimmering acrylic.
I then glued everything together, added some white highlights with my acrylic pen and some hemp to the tag.
I love painting laser creations. Each one is different and there is just so much satisfaction taking wood and turning it into a finished project.
Hope you have an amazing day of crafting!!
Until next time....
Becky
