Simple tags with Perfect Paints
Have you ever felt the urge to add a little extra 'oomph' to your projects? This month, I'm embracing Perfect Paints to add texture and dimension by experimenting with stencils on tags. It's a simple technique that can transform plain paper into eye-catching embellishments. Not only are these stenciled tags perfect for adding a personal touch to gifts, but they also provide a fantastic way to use up scraps of paper and embellishments from your craft stash. The best part? I'm planning to assemble all these one-of-a-kind tags into a custom banner for my very own craft room, a statement piece that reflects my creative personality. Join me as we explore the world of stenciled tags and discover how easy it is to create unique, textured decorations for any project.
Let's get started!
Product used:
Perfect Paints Polishing Plaster in Jack Frost
Perfect Paints Shimmering Matte Acrylic in Halo
49 & Market Tranquility Laser Wildflowers
49 &Market Serenity Calming Cardstock
Martha Stewart Glitter Cardstock
Chipboard
Tim Holtz Journaling blocks
Designs by Jamie Woodgrain stencil
Directions:
For all my tags I use chipboard for my base. This gives the tag some sturdiness.
Trim the glitter cardstock to match the chipboard base.
Take the stencil and tape down over the cardstock. This will help when added the polishing plaster so that the stencil does not move.
Using a knife I gently covered the area making sure that plenty of plaster was in the stencil image
As you can see in the below picture...the plaster gives such a unique texture.
At this time, I took a fine paint brush and just added some Perfect Paints Shimmering Matte Acrylic in Halo to various areas.
Trim a small piece of patterned paper and adhere to the tag.
Add die cut flowers. I did not glue down the actual flowers so that they would pop off the tag.
To finish off the tag I added a journaling block and string.
Literally the simplest tag and yet so pretty. I love the shimmer from the cardstock and the Perfect Paints.
Have a good day - Becky!
