These wooden bowls are a crafter's dream! Versatile and readily available, they've graced my projects time and time again, transforming into everything from charming candles to adorable holiday decorations. But lately, I've been craving something a little different, a way to elevate these humble vessels to a new level of beauty. Enter: Shimmering Matte acrylic paints & crystals! I had a collection of crystals just waiting for a purpose, and the idea of combining their natural elegance with the rustic simplicity of the wooden bowls sparked instant inspiration. The result? Absolutely gorgeous. Join me as I share how to transform simple wooden bowls into breathtaking masterpieces.

Here is a supply list for the bowls:

Step one:

Roughly paint the bowls with craft paint leaving lots of raw edges

Step two:

Using the Perfect Paints Shimmering Matte Acrylics you will want to do the same and just add the paint in random areas. For the round bowl I used Northern Lights and for the cross bowl I used Espresso and Vintage Mercury.

Abstract painting with swirling brushstrokes in white, green, and black. Circular patterns create a sense of movement. No text visible.

Step three:

Spread the tacky glue in random areas. Now just pour the crystals and glitter where you would like them to be and gently press into the glue. Set aside and let dry.

The cross beads I made several years ago out of clay. Using a cookie cutter, I cut out the cross and added some shimmering matte while it dried. For the beads I took wooden unfinished beads and added them to a ziploc bag full of paint. Pour them out on parchment paper and let dry. String everything together with hemp string.

And now you have these amazingly beautiful, shimmering bowls!
