Once paste is dry and cracked add embellishments to create your focal image. For this project chipboard gears and molded pieces were used.

Once the focal is ready adhere the embellishments using matte gel medium or A strong adhesive that dries clear. When everything is adhered coat all in black gesso again and allow gesso to dry.

Embellishments painted with black gesso. (I did paint the crackle textured canvas in black as well) This can be done prior to gluing down embellishments.

Use Shimmering Matte Acrylic Paint in Peacock Blue to paint all of the gears. This is such a vibrant bright color and adds an amazing pop of contrast with the black. Add clear embossing powder and set with a heat tool carefully.

Alternate between the Peacock Blue and Periwinkle Blue using a wet paint brush to add color to the other elements. Adding water will make the colors blend beautifully! Dry after alternating between the colors each time. Dry brush Barely There Shimmering Matte Acrylic Paint over the raised areas of the embellishments. Do the same with white gesso.

Add a quote plate using a screw to screw to the wood edge of the canvas. Use white gesso to the raised letters to make it pop. Add a light spray of water around the focal point and move the canvas around to allow color to run. Once the entire piece is fully dry add white shimmer wax with a finger rubbed just over raised areas.
