Welcome November - Welcome Fall Layout
Hi all!
Becky here...enjoying some crafting time and a hot cup of Apple Cider! The fall is my favorite with all the beautiful colors! When I saw my best friends 60th birthday picture with her grand babies...I couldn't wait to get my hands on it and add some fall tones! And Perfect Paints makes it so easy! This is a super, easy layout to duplicate.

Perfect Paints Shimmering Acrylic in Aged Copper, Espresso, Spring Green and Cajun Pumpkin Orange
Directions:
To start off with I framed my picture in coordinating cardstock. I like to always frame my pictures for an added pop. Then I cut some random sized strips of paper in Basic Grey that matched the same color scheme. Using a bowl from the kitchen I then cut a big circle. My favorite part is laying out all the pieces and letting the layout start to come together.
Before we glue everything let's get started on the chipboard frame.
Using the Perfect Paints Shimmering Acrylics I painted the entire frame. Blending some of the paints together to smooth the leaves and colors into each other.
LOOK at these colors! Aren't they beautiful....the shimmer....just makes me smile. Who needs glitter when you have Shimmering Acrylics!
Now it is time to glue down all the layers. Starting with the circle and then layering the long strips on top of each other across the page. Once I had them glued down on the 49 & Market Tranquility cardstock I trimmed just a little off each side so that I could then layer everything on the back orange sheet. This small amount of orange helps tie in the orange paint and touches of orange in the strips.
Now we can take the chipboard, cut the top and then slip one side under the picture while the other side will lay on top of the picture. Now glue down a few die cuts from 49 & Market to add some extra layers.
A layout is not complete, at least for me, without some journaling strips and hand doodles. So off I went with a marker around the border as well as around the circle. For journaling strips I used some Tim Holtz Theories Quotes.
I decided this would be an awesome gift for my best friend so I completed the layout by picking up a 12x12 shadowbox so that she can hang this wherever she would like. A sweet memory of her beautiful littles on such a special day.
I hope you will give not only layering a try but these amazing paints as well!
Until next time...
Becky
